Warranty clauseAny product warranty offered by AgriEdge Precision is provided in addition to, and does not replace or limit, any non-excludable rights that a customer may have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other applicable South African law.Unless a longer written warranty is expressly stated for a specific product, AgriEdge Precision warrants that products supplied by it will be free from material defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period stated in the applicable Warranty Policy, quotation, invoice or product documentation. The warranty period will run from the date of delivery, collection or installation, as stated in the applicable documentation. This warranty covers defects caused by faulty materials, manufacturing faults or workmanship defects under normal use and in accordance with the product instructions, specifications and intended purpose. The warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, incorrect assembly, incorrect installation, incorrect storage, corrosion caused by unsuitable storage or operating conditions, accidental damage, unauthorised alteration or repair, use with incompatible parts or accessories, failure to follow instructions, lack of reasonable maintenance, use outside the stated specifications, or incorrect specifications supplied or approved by the customer. To submit a warranty claim, the customer must contact AgriEdge Precision as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue and provide proof of purchase, a description of the problem, relevant photographs or videos where practical, and any other information reasonably required to assess the claim.AgriEdge Precision may require the product to be returned or made available for inspection before accepting a warranty claim. A product will not be regarded as defective merely because the customer later wishes to change an approved specification, but this does not exclude any right relating to defective workmanship, unsafe goods or goods that do not conform to the approved specifications.Replacement parts and repair work may carry their own warranty period if stated in writing. A repair or replacement does not reduce any statutory rights that apply to the customer.Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any right that cannot lawfully be limited under South African consumer law.For qualifying online consumer transactions, a customer may have a statutory cooling-off right to cancel without reason within the period prescribed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, subject to any lawful exclusions and the customer being responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where permitted by law.Customers may also have statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act where goods are unsafe, defective, fail to comply with the agreed description or are not reasonably suitable for the purpose for which they were supplied. These rights may include repair, replacement or refund within the applicable statutory period, subject to the facts and the Act.Custom-made or specially manufactured products may be excluded from certain change-of-mind returns where the law allows, but this does not remove any non-excludable rights relating to defective, unsafe or non-conforming goods.
